Why does the evaporative condenser stand out in the C position?

In the field of industrial refrigeration, traditional atmospheric condensers and indirect condensers are widely known, while evaporative condensers, as a rising star in the industry, have attracted much attention. Today, we will conduct an in-depth comparison of these three types of condensers to explore what "superpowers" evaporative condensers possess that enable them to stand out in the market.

The working principles of the three types of condensers are quite different.

Both the atmospheric condenser with circulating water and the indirect condenser with circulating water are totally "water guzzlers". Their working patterns are quite similar: both rely on a large amount of water to absorb heat as it warms up, converting the secondary steam from the final effect of the evaporator into water, and that's how the vacuum is achieved.

As for our evaporative condenser, although it also uses circulating water, its way of using it is much more innovative, completely a different approach.

Advantage 1: A master of electricity saving, no bargaining when it comes to saving money.

First, let's talk about the electricity cost that everyone cares most about. This is truly a tangible cost!

The water consumption of atmospheric condensers plus circulating water and indirect condensers plus circulating water is no joke. As we all know, condensing one ton of steam requires 55 tons of water. Take a 450-ton or 400-ton evaporator, for example: the final effect steam is about 100 tons, so the circulating water volume has to soar to more than 5,500 cubic meters. Just imagine, pumping such a large amount of water from the cooling tower to an atmospheric condenser tens of meters high—won't the electricity meter spin like crazy?

Now let's look at the evaporative condenser, which is simply a model of "meticulous calculation" when it comes to circulating water. For one thing, its own height is only about six or seven meters, so the head of the circulating water pump is correspondingly low, which saves effort. For another, the amount of circulating water is surprisingly small—just enough to wet the outer surface of the tubes, with no need for so much water to "join in the fun".

When compared like this, the electricity-saving effect of the evaporative condenser is simply remarkable! In terms of the evaporator, for every ton of water evaporated, it can save 2 to 3 kWh of electricity compared to using an atmospheric condenser.

Let's do the math clearly for everyone: For a 500-ton evaporator, using an evaporative condenser can save more than 8 million kWh of electricity in a year! What wouldn't be nice to do with all the money saved?

Advantage 2: A master of small footprint, cleverly utilizing space

The atmospheric condenser plus circulating water system takes up a really large area, just like a "big fat guy". There's the cooling tower, the hot water pool, the cold water pool, and space has to be made for large circulating pumps—you really can't make do with a small site for the whole setup.

Our evaporative condenser, however, is quite different. It's a "compact and exquisite" one, with an extremely small footprint. It can even be directly mounted on the evaporator, making the most efficient use of space. The saved space can be put to good use in any way, which is totally worthwhile.

Comprehensive PK: The advantages of the evaporative condenser are dazzling!

In terms of operating costs, the evaporative condenser is a master of saving electricity, capable of helping enterprises save a substantial amount of electricity fees every year; in terms of floor space, it is a space-saving expert, able to preserve valuable land resources for enterprises.

When compared like this, the evaporative condenser has incredibly prominent advantages in terms of operating costs and floor space! That's why we now recommend everyone to use evaporative condensers instead of atmospheric ones—whoever uses it will know how good it is!

We believe that with such a comparison, everyone must have a clear understanding of these three types of condensers. If you are struggling with choosing a condenser, you might as well take a look at our evaporative condenser. It may bring great surprises to your enterprise!
