Among them, Mr. Ju Lirang, Chairman of Henan Jiuye Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd., brought the report titled "Practice and Exploration of New Energy-saving Technologies in the Evaporation Section of Green Alumina Production". In his report, Mr. Ju Lirang, Chairman and Senior Engineer of Jiuye Chemical Engineering, took the two domestic first-of-its-kind technological breakthroughs of Jiuye Chemical Engineering as the core, deeply analyzed the energy-saving pain points in the evaporation section of alumina production, and shared a series of highly innovative solutions.

General Manager Liu Wanchao of China Aluminum Zhengzhou Nonferrous Metals Research Institute presented a certificate to Mr. Ju Lirang, Chairman of Jiuye Chemical Engineering.

Jiuye Chemical Engineering has successfully applied the seven-effect two-stage and three-stage separate evaporators in the alumina industry, and this technology can be regarded as an "energy-saving weapon" in the industry. It has directly reduced the steam-water ratio of the original evaporation station from 0.3 to below 0.2 or even 0.15. Calculated based on the domestic alumina production of about 80 million tons last year, the application of this technology has reduced the steam consumption by 24 million tons, lowered the production cost of each ton of alumina by about 5 billion yuan, and reduced the carbon emissions by 6.31 million tons. It has set a new benchmark for energy conservation, cost reduction and green development in the alumina industry.


Another pioneering technology - the successful application of the evaporative condenser in the alumina evaporation station has also achieved remarkable results. This technology can save 3 kWh of electricity for every ton of water evaporated. Calculated based on the requirement of evaporating 3 tons of water for the production of each ton of alumina, the domestic alumina industry can save 720 million kWh of electricity annually, with the electricity cost savings reaching 500 million yuan, and directly reduce carbon emissions by 484,000 tons. These two domestically innovative technologies have made indelible and significant contributions in the technical field of evaporators in the alumina industry, and have also fully demonstrated the strong technical innovation capabilities of Jiuye Chemical Engineering. 


In addition, Jiuye Chemical Engineering has continued to innovate on the path of exploring energy-saving technologies for alumina production. The eight-effect evaporator, as a "new powerful tool" for the evaporation of low-concentration alumina mother liquor, has remarkable advantages. Through key technological innovations such as optimizing the temperature difference distribution and accurate heat balance calculation, the eight-effect evaporator has a comparable temperature difference to the seven-effect evaporator under high-concentration working conditions even under low-concentration working conditions, and operates stably without risks. The heat balance calculation shows that the steam-water ratio of the eight-effect evaporator group is about 0.03 lower than that of the seven-effect evaporator group. Taking an alumina plant with an annual output of 1.2 million tons as an example, it can save about 150,000 tons of steam annually. Calculated according to the domestic steam price of 180 yuan per ton, the annual steam cost savings can reach 27 million yuan. In regions where the steam price exceeds 300 yuan per ton, the annual steam cost savings can be as high as 45 million yuan. Moreover, although the renovation investment of the eight-effect evaporator group is about 25 million yuan more than that of the seven-effect evaporator group, the investment payback period is less than seven months (excluding government energy-saving subsidies), and multiple patents provide technical protection for it.


In addition to the eight-effect evaporator, the application prospects of the MVR evaporator in the alumina industry have also attracted much attention. With the technological breakthrough of the steam compressor, the compression ratio and compression capacity have been improved, making it possible for the MVR evaporator to be applied in the alumina industry. Taking Luoyang Zhongchao New Materials Co., Ltd. as an example, after transforming the original two groups of six-effect 40t/h evaporators into MVR evaporators, compared with the seven-effect evaporator, it can save 357.6 yuan in operating costs per hour, and the annual operating cost savings can reach approximately 3 million yuan (for one group), demonstrating remarkable energy-saving effects.
